Dear Experts,
One of our leading Client has rejected the Centrifugal Water Pump on the basis that Cast Iron is not acceptable in Oil and Gas industry.
The Cast Iron has been used for Casing and Impeller, Material: ASTM A395 Gr 60-40-18.
The Design Code for Pump is ASME(Form A2).
Purpose: This pump is a used for cooling the oil for the Cylinders of a Gas Compressor.
Moreover. the requirement that Cast Iron is not acceptable is not specified in Client Standard/Specification.
I request all experts in this subject to through more light and let me know if you require any further inputs.
